For those of you who do not like long metaphysical exposition, but rather want to have simple definitions: see end of this post!

Ascendant is as an energetic bubble in which we perceive and navigate through life. It gives us the necessary "push" or stumbling forward and outward. The launch of a new bike, a bike that in its totality is described by the Twelve Houses.

It has nothing to do with it as the "Sharp Missy" refers to self-awareness and self-absorption, especially not the latter. "Awareness of one's self"? Perhaps, after much reflection and study of astrology including, but not likely. If so, it is rather the Ascendant becomes a component or fragments of many of how we define and become aware of ourselves. But self-consciousness itself? Questionable, quite the contrary!

It also has nothing to do with what "meme" call "our image", or "whom we purport to be"!

"Image" can be interpreted in many different ways and I feel that the term obscures rather than defines, therefore, with the intent to clarify. "Image" is a pretty accurate definition, but which unfortunately leaves many questions unanswered. "Who we purport to be" completely wrong. This part, rather Descendents.

All this confusion has its source in that so many astrology students do not seem to understand that life is a continuous, cyclic motion or process. The key word here is CYCLICITY!

Ascendant course initiates House Number One! Okay, what does this mean? It must of course mean that the descendants Eleven houses were built in the beginning of the Ascendant, right? And Twelfth House, it is the last because there are only Twelve Houses. Does the end of life processes at the same time as we engage in the Twelfth House activities?

No, just that! It continues under the same structural principles, but this time, hopefully, with renewed content, new substance and with previous experience in the luggage to build on. A new cycle begins. And if we manage to activate the "push" or stumbling out as potentially available through the Ascendant, then the new cycle will start in a spiral, then a progressive fold-out cation of the potential that lies waiting in the next House.

Ascendant thus symbolizes something new. And just like everything else that is new and untried Ascendant symbolizes something fragile and vulnerable. The old, the previous cycle has a natural inertia in itself. An inertia that threatens to curb the movement of life from that simmer new life into this old. But since the life impulse of the relatively stronger of the two Universes are designed in such a way that it provides each gateway to a new bike - Ascendant - with a natural push forward.

Ascendant can be seen as one of the most obvious features that our personality is composed. It is located close to us so that we do not see it! But Ascendant is also a big mystery around himself. What is something that has no existence, and seeking existence? That's what we're talking about here, is not it?

If Ascendant is based on the ending of the Twelfth House, then we ought to ask ourselves what is left of natural movement in the last and final grades in the Twelfth House.

Twelfth house symbolizes including the fragments of life that has been generated but not integrated; process has been, assimilated. Thoughts thought without follow-up. Dreams and visions without form. Emotions expressed without personal responsibility. It shows in everything that we rejected in ourselves and others, and that now forces us and persecute us through our dreams and our fears. Just because we do not integrate them, it does not mean that they "disappear".

What we have rejected, is thought forms and energies we felt embarrassed by the past, as expressed by the first eleven houses. It was the thoughts / emotions / energies ourselves was to create but we just did not know then that we could take responsibility for. It is our "karma", waste products, we did not want to acknowledge but which was necessary in the construction of the identity / personality / ego we felt was so important at the time when we were at an earlier stage of the circle, and also the previous spirals . These old, non-integrated fragments of life 'is now resolved "in the more subtle dimensions, but close enough to be able to demonstrate their existence, and thus to trouble us ... but also inspire us.

Ghost and Angel stand here side by side, and it offers a seductively us with hope for exemption from duality and challenges of everyday wear, we are seeing here something big, immersive and forgiving. We dons these impressions of the ultimate ideal, which is seen as the solution to everything. But the ghost presence reminds us of equivalent strength of our unresolved past. In our mind takes these negative emotions and thoughts grotesque forms, as we too often attribute independent and autonomous status, they seem to exist outside us. They are ourselves, but personal time / substance, and can therefore take the form they need to bring a response from the person. Fear and fear that these grotesque, distorted forms of life consists of is none other than our own past and their thoughts / emotions, now free to form their taste and fancy, they are not as limited by the inertia of matter as we are.

We meet here also our old deceased grandparents, and other deceased souls who anxiously reminds us of the importance of our managing heritage law, that we continue to wear her old call, and cherished old photographs of them when they were in life. This ensures they do on their own illusory immortality and trouble while their "savior" [descendants, living relatives / friends] from real immortality, which would mean the temporary death of the "living dead"!

Twelfth House is, of course, meditation, silence, reflection, and dreams. By turning down the volume on our minds, eagerly and frantically searching for more and more stimuli, and we will send out a tone / vibration, making it possible for us to see and contact the "dead alive" and other personal and collective karma fragments "hang loose". By inviting them into our time / consciousness, we give them roots and substance. By "spiritual technology", we can then modulate the energy and the contact point to the desired frequency, and help solve these bewildered fragments into their proper place. This is what we refer to dissolve, to liberate, to release.

The "dead alive" realize that they only exist as a potential, and must await their signal to the new incarnation [and new Ascendant] instead of interfering with the "living dead" time and bask in the spiritual illusory glamor, and the exercise of power that means. Twelfth House has been called "hidden enemies", and now we understand what these enemies are.

For our purposes here trying to figure out what is the Ascendant, and that we do this by viewing one of life's cyclical nature, so we need not go into the Twelfth House is also associated with "potential future". I just want to mention that in-between-time is so.

So the question is now what is left of the highest grades in the Twelfth House? Where the old meets the new?

When we loosen the loose fragments from the old cycle, while we open up a communication line or port to the "other side", through which the inspiration and nyvunnet promise of something new to make itself noticed in quietly. It is a time of anticipation and excitement, not unlike the feeling we have for an upcoming birth. The birth is the Ascendant.

The fragments we need to re-integrate becomes our medium into the unknown. By providing these fragments substance / body / time by welcoming them into our awareness is the door or gate open to the unknown. But the Twelfth House is also the products and fruits of all our efforts. We can now share some of this fruit to others, and in this process "reward" us with the dark visions of the future existence of a new cycle. We perceive a promise, an inspiration, and a thirst for new life. We have come face-to-face to the unknown and reslutatet of this is that it gives us a new chance for existence. Not as punishment, but rather as an opportunity to be better, better, more interesting, and advanced life-expression .. The experiment continues!

The last degree of Twelfth House - the 359th degree - is the point where the unknown influence is strongest. In theory at least, it is there that we can return fully to the source. But the energy / intelligence / consciousness fragments that meet the unknown here is all too often, if not always, not ready to fully return. Energy is not sufficiently refined and in tune with this ultimate unknown. Consequently, the unknown that fragments a push forward now with a vision of both overall (through its contact with the unknown), and with a vision of what needs to be done, what the type of life experiences that must be made to enable better and stronger contact with the source at the end of this new cycle.

Ascendant is a point which is least of all the "self". It has no self to begin with! How can you say that Asendenten is "self awareness" and "self-absorption"?

How can the Ascendant symbolizes "how we purport to be"? I have read many astrologers who believe that the Ascendant is the mask we put on ourselves in our meeting with our surroundings. How can we construct a mask when there is "no where" to begin with?

Putting on a mask is a conscious choice, often of inspiration or pressure from social situations. This mesh facilitates the meeting and interaction with the public and even interpersonal contacts. And what a house is associated with this? That's right, Seventh House!

The Seventh House / Descendents shows the mesh, we construct in order to best way to navigate social situations and meeting with offentligheten.Inte Ascendant! Descendents are in opposition with the Ascendant. And what is a natural opposition? Answer: awareness. It is through the full moon we see the promise made by the Sun Moon fertilized with the new moon. The same goes for Ascendant: we become aware of Ascendant by modifying (Descendents) Tell us about it. A person with Cancer Stage Dent is not aware of these qualities until the second single out those for us. And even then, we feel that we can identify with it: it is a mental construction after we astrologers get lost in when we say that it is our "identity".

If there is no "self" as Ascendant may be associated with it is so, "Self" with large S. This "Original Self" is not something we normally have little contact with, although I personally believe that it is possible. Our relationship with the Ascendant is rather a strong feeling or impulse that we must act and "BUMP FORWARD AND OUT"! Ascendant is instinctively and spontaneously detachment of energy to through this detachment to make sure that an "energetic bubble 'is created by which we can stand up to the past negative spin on us, ie Twelfth House. Thus, the Ascendant - and the first house - the need to protect and fight for the qualities that our Ascendant symbolizes. But this is done instinctively, ie without consideration and planes, and also because this STONEWALL energetic bubble, it is disruptive and enabling the creation of the new cycle is described by all Houses.

Going back to the possibility that a degree of autonomy; be able to generate documents that will strengthen our overall personality, to assure us of our strength and ability to independently and so, it is the Ascendant!

I would also like to conclude by saying that the Ascendant is growing stronger and stronger as we get older. "Bubble" is becoming more and more distinct, which is precisely the primary evolutionary purpose and function that Ascendant has! Nothing more, nothing less!

Descendents / worm, perceive our surroundings when we are actively relate to them. But "behind", or rather, in this worm - designed deliberately relationship profiling - is our presence. This presence is our Ascendant. Surroundings perceive it mainly because we do not actively relate to them, even if the influence is there all the time. It is our body and is also very much our appearance.

When we actively relate to others, either in one-on-one situations, or more generally in our relationship to the public [The Seventh House] then it Descendents we activate or express. And it has "pushed-out" is the same as that which we give of ourselves and presented ourselves to others. In other words, these energies / qualities that the other must establish a relationship with. We invite the other through our Descendents and this is equivalent to saying that the others must contact us through our descendent. Sure, they can beat us on our shoulder and say 'you! "And affect our Ascendant / body and bring our attention (which is our Ascendant) but at the same moment when the related opened us to the Descendents.

Ascendant as the identity of all astrologers seem to endorse. Not me. The question is: Whose identity? We can identify the man 'over there' with the red cap as he has won the bag. We thus identify one another through their Ascendant, but we will not identify ourselves by our Ascendant!

I suspect that all this talk of different identities - Asc our "personal" identity; MC our "public" identity, etc. - based on the fact that we know that Desc is "the other", and which thus lead us to that which is in opposition with the Desc is "our own" ie Ascendant. It is true that the Ascendant symbolizes the ability to protect our oberoendehet, independence, and also the ability and necessity to defend our borders. It is through that we are breaking new ground. We must hold our own, crafting a strong and distinct "energetic bubble '/ aura through which all our other needs can be expressed and realized.
But all this does instinctively, ie without förtanke and planes.

The question then is what we mean by protecting "our" oberoendehet, "our" right to take place, be a part of the existing space, to be so? Our = us = we = me, who am I? Who is my conscious "identity"? This is all the planets together, and the factors they express themselves through (houses, signs, aspects ..). But it is above all the sun and moon. And especially the sun. Ascendant should be subordinate to the sun right to the generation, creation, the expression, achievement, realization of our innermost core = MENIAL SUN!

The sun in turn need a medium, a form, to understand and realize this "spark of light / consciousness", and it does so by Moon, which distributes benefits and gradually Sun raw overwhelming energy. The moon is a mother, and her proportions, and we realize the sun out of consciousness. The sun is expressed by the moon. Just as we can not see the sun for a long time without any kind of lens / protection, we can not establish a relationship with our Sun but with the help of the Moon, which acts as a lens or a protective modulates and is stepping down Sun energy at a frequency that is to assimilate, process, and integrate. The moon is nutritious and to absorb närandet. And the required processing and melting of the raw food that symbolizes the sun.

So the Sun Moon need to be able to see nature through the forms she generates. But Ascendant is extremely important because it gives us the raison d'être and the ability to realize the Sun-Moon consciousness of our own (Ascendant) conditions. So: Ascendant opens up a space within and through which our awareness of potential can be realized. It should be seen as a "push" or stumbling out!

What if we have a weak Ascendant, or if we have not hammered up this distinctive personal characteristic influences / bubble?

Then we can only realize our potential and realize mevetande [Sun-Moon, primary] under different conditions. External situations and other people are playing now on our weakness and forces us to find meaning, purpose, and consciousness [Sun] on their premises. In the long run, this leads to exploitation, exhaustion, and lack of perspective. Remember: Ascendant is strength and the generation of personal boundaries and priorities. That it is in opposition with the Descendents informs us of the importance of balancing personal strength and independence of openness to others [Descendents].

As I wrote in my first post so Ascendant symbolizes the qualities that have recently undergone dissolution and refining in the encounter with the unknown in the Twelfth House. This unknown, considering that these qualities were not sufficiently qualified to be completely out contact with the unknown. So they gave the unknown fragments of consciousness / qualities a vision of what needed to be done to the next when it comes into contact with the unknown, is to establish a strong and conscious contact with it. We thus becomes one with the source again, closing the circle - even if the spiral continues.

So Ascendant is extremely weak and fragile as these qualities for the first time in a long time once again to involve itself with the physical and the material. These qualities have now the task or as a mission to initiate a new cycle. The memory of the vision The source gave it to the last degree in the Twelfth House is there, but unconsciously for most of us. With this vision and mission is, we can see by the qualities that are linked to the character that is on the Ascendant, and the Sabianska symbol. The terms governing the Ascendant - exoteric or esoteric - is now working out this vision INSTINCTIVELY / UNCONSCIOUSLY [exoteric] or with INSPIRATION / MISSION [esoteric].

Initially Ascendant must obey the Sun "voice" and in conformity with them. Ascendant is a tool for the Sun, just as the moon becomes a medium for the Sun. If we integrate these factors - that is, if we manage to achieve the realization of our Sun through dynamic leadership and creativity, then the source voice and the vision that maintains the Ascendant, that more and more to make themselves known through our minds.

What is happening now is that the sun must be subordinate to Ascendant and the vision expressed by it, and mobilize their ability to update and implement this vision. Ascendant now become a root-impulse that permeates every fragment of consciousness / level function.

The symbol of Sabianska Ascendant changes every four minutes, making it the most specific variable we have in astrology. The sun's degree, and its symbol Sabiska changed only once a day. So Ascendant is a great mystery seen from the metaphysics I sketch out here, namely that it follows as a natural evolutionary step for the unknown in the Twelfth house.

The issue of identity may now have a new meaning: Ascendant is how others identify us, but it is also our Original Self-identity, which we can gradually begin to identify with, and when, we begin to feel the vision within us!

A very interesting thing happens when we meditate on the point that we call the Ascendant. It is as if the primary negative and positive energies cancel each other out and bring out a neutral energy. This is the neutral energy that is also actively present at the solstice and equinoctial when Yin and Yang reaches its maximum balance, or extremes. Ascendant and of course, share the symbolism of spring equinox point, is not it?

The neutral energy is the pole around which our polarized consciousness is present. And it's all our evolutionary task of integrating this with the not-being!
